Enable Me

Raising Disability Awareness

What We Do

Enable Me aims to raise disability awareness in the community and we do this by working with schools, with colleges and with other organisations in the statutory and/or voluntary sectors.

We do this through the provision of a wide range of unique services:

Disabilty Awareness Days for schools that link an exciting range of activities/workshops to the National Curriculum, Curriculum Enrichment Days, the Every Child Matters Agenda and to a school's needs to build community cohesion and meet their requirements under the Disability Equality Duty.

Disability Sports for Schools are a series of after school clubs that will be delivered as part of the Aiming High for Disabled Children transformation programme in West Sussex.

Enable Me Evaluation uses an innovative 'draw & write' technique to evaluate pupils awareness and understanding of disability, which when linked with related evaluation for teachers, staff, governors and parents provides an extremely useful toolkit from which to measure and baseline attitudes towards disability in schools or colleges.

Enable Me Disability Awareness Training is a 4 hour training module designed to raise understanding and awareness for workforce professionals who's day to day practice is to support children & young people and their families.
